Communication Team Co-Lead, THGO
Linda is currently a Master’s degree candidate (Health and Biomedical Sciences) at the Nelson Mandela – African Institute of Sciences and Technology. Her research area is on Computational Drug Design. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Dar es Salaam.
After completing her undergraduate studies, she got an opportunity to work at the Ifakara Health Institute clinical trial facility in Bagamoyo. For several months, she was actively and intensively trained as a Research officer where she gained both lab-based and fieldwork expertise. The cumulative experiences she was exposed to have established a commendable basis for her technical and analytical skills in health-related research. She also has keen interests in Genomics and Bioinformatics, and she aspires to incorporate the two in her research works as she pursues a career in drug development powered by in silico techniques.
At THGO, she volunteers in the communications team where she is being mentored in the area of science communication and advocacy.
